GM Dictionary: Sports 2 #18

Okay friends, so back when I was doing the first sports series I realized there were just too many possible entries. Now I realize I could probably do sports for a couple years without repeating words. From all the various martial arts to styles of poker to equipment used in various sports the list goes on and on. This month we head back in but aren’t going too crazy. We will talk about some more general sports and a handful of unique games. Maybe sometime soon I’ll pick a specific sub topic to delve into!

Curling: A game in which teams take turns sliding heavy stones along a slippery surface onto a target area. Manipulations include smoothing the path in front of the stone, turning it so that it curves (a curl), and knocking out another team’s stone.

This is a mini-article series featuring short explanations for words more commonly used in RPGs (or potentially so!) than normal conversation. Each month will hold a different theme and each weekday will have a different word. Note: these are personal, simple breakdowns and not perfect. Please tell me if I am mistaken and I will work to correct it! For anyone looking for a collected work please check out our Patreon. All patrons get a PDF collected copy each month!
