GM Dictionary: Agriculture #19
With Halloween behind us and winter approaching (at least in the northern hemisphere), we come to harvest time. What better way to celebrate than by featuring agricultural words in the GM’s Dictionary??
Also known as fire-fallow cultivation, this method requires burning down a section of woodland or forest to create a fertile field for farming. Historically it is and has been used a great deal, but most methods are incredibly destructive to the area and demand generally outpaces the ability to produce from an area.
This is a mini-article series featuring short explanations for words more commonly used in RPGs (or potentially so!) than normal conversation. Each month will hold a different theme and each weekday will have a different word. Note: these are personal, simple breakdowns and not perfect. Please tell me if I am mistaken and I will work to correct it! For anyone looking for a collected work please check out our Patreon. All patrons get a PDF collected copy each month!
