GM Dictionary: Space #15
Okay, I know I have spent a lot of time with the GM’s Dictionary focusing on things that are as likely, if not more likely, to come up in fantasy settings. This month, however, I am ready to introduce some stuff that will be most useful in a science fiction setting. Perhaps you may find it effective in your fantasy world, but either way I hope you find these space-related definitions of use at the table! And to help in this effort, I will include a Euler diagram below because it is an awesome visual reference.
These objects orbit a star and are large enough to have a gravity that causes it to be natural pheroid. However, they are not large enough to be considered planet and do not orbit another object, meaning it is also not a satellite.
This is a mini-article series featuring short explanations for words more commonly used in RPGs (or potentially so!) than normal conversation. Each month will hold a different theme and each weekday will have a different word. Note: these are personal, simple breakdowns and not perfect. Please tell me if I am mistaken and I will work to correct it! For anyone looking for a collected work please check out our Patreon. All patrons get a PDF collected copy each month!
