GM Dictionary: Plant Parts #7
Back in December the theme of the GM Dictionary was animal parts and I knew that we would have to expand on the biology topics. Part of that is just me being me, of course. Still I though it might be good this month to go over pant parts for those times when you want to create strange new plants or describe horrible plant-monsters.
In formal botany this is called a strobulus, but is recognizable to any who have interacted with conifers. The woody cones are female, containing the seeds before opening. Male cones are less easy to spot, soft, and produce pollen.
This is a mini-article series featuring short explanations for words more commonly used in RPGs (or potentially so!) than normal conversation. Each month will hold a different theme and each weekday will have a different word. Note: these are personal, simple breakdowns and not perfect. Please tell me if I am mistaken and I will work to correct it! For anyone looking for a collected work please check out our Patreon. All patrons get a PDF collected copy each month!
