GM Dictionary: The Dead #18

This month we look at the various burial places of the world! What better way to kick off a series during October!?

Charnel House

In one respect these are a type of ossuary, containing the skeletal remains of the dead. However, they tend to be built near churches for the holding of those who are unearthed while digging graves. In other regards it is simply a place of death and destruction.

This is a mini-article series featuring short explanations for words more commonly used in RPGs (or potentially so!) than normal conversation. Each month will hold a different theme and each weekday will have a different word. Note: these are personal, simple breakdowns and not perfect.
